Worked with a team of 6 people from 4 continents on introducing transferrable problem-solving skills to enhance critical thinking in middle-school San Francisco students from underserved communities. Designed and tested a curriculum for an IDEAthon (Hackathon without coding) involving creativity games, brainstorming problems in a middle scholar's life, product prototype design, and presentation.
Built a close-knit community of 123 people from 53 countries, holding one-on-one meetings with students to assess their situation, and providing emotional support and resources to make their first year comfortable at Minerva. Designed monthly programs and events in the residence hall and throughout the city to help students come out of the screen and connect to the city. Inspected residence for safety issues, resolved and assisted student life manager in emergencies.
Monitored 15 child clubs (Interact) in Kathmandu with 725+ members, supported 150+ community service and personal development events organized by those clubs and maintained a database. Persuaded three schools to revive inactive clubs via regular meetings to create a platform for students to engage in community service, trained 90 members, and supported event planning and organizing.
